It’s good to have things outside the regular rhythm to look forward to – check out these special occasions coming up on the horizon…

Kingdom Come : Tuesday, 2 November (dependant on Covid level requirements)

We’re convinced that God is always making things new: restoring us personally, reviving the church, shifting culture and flourishing the city.

And so we’ve made it a priority to begin each term by gathering to seek first the Kingdom of God. As the name suggests, this is a night where we want to take Jesus at his word when he taught his friends, to pray, saying: Our Father in heaven, Holy is your name. Your Kingdom Come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Kingdom Come involves times of themed prayer - contending for our Heavenly Father to extend the reality of his Kingdom in our lives, in our church and throughout Aotearoa, all in a context of worship and simply enjoying spending extended time in His presence as family.

These nights at Studio 10a only happen four times a year, so we’d love you to be in the room on Tuesday, 2 November. 7:15pm for light refreshments before worship begins as 7.30pm.

Meet & Eat - Postponed due to lock down

Keen to know a bit more about what life in the Saint Augustine's whānau is all about? If you're new to Saint Augustine's or know someone who is, Meet & Eat is the perfect opportunity to hear about who we are and what we're about. It's also a great chance to meet the team, ask some questions, and find out how to get connected - all over a delicious dessert and glass of vino of course! The next one is coming up on (date to be advised) and we cap numbers at 20 guests to help preserve the intimacy of the evening so if you would like more information or would like to RSVP, please email Alyssa, we would love the chance to get to know you.

Night Chapel : Postponed due to lock down

Night Chapel is a simple space for seeking God together through the beauty of stillness, silence, sacrament, psalm & song. We gather around the symbols of salt and light; salt in response to the prayer of our name sake, St Augustine “God, put salt on our lips that we may thirst for You” & the light of a candle reminding us that Jesus is present when we gather. The next Night Chapel is happening on (date to be advised) at Studio 10a (10A Morningside Drive). We meet at 7pm for pizza and wine followed by the contemplative worship journey at 7.30pm. All welcome…

Parents of Preschoolers

Parents of Preschoolers (or PoPs for short) is all about midweek meetups - in homes and out and about at local parks. Initiated by parents, we are excited to be launching with a weekly Monday morning meetup and would love to see this grow into multiple meetups of parents (and little ones) connecting and supporting each other throughout the week and across the city.

To connect and find out what’s going on, please ask to join the private Facebook group here - this is where all the details are posted and you can connect with the hosts as well. If you are interested in hosting a regular PoPs midweek meetup, then we’d love to hear from you below. Arohanui

Ramblers & Riders

Not in a rush to get anywhere, Ramblers & Riders is a community at Saint Augustine's that share a common love of either walking or cycling, whilst enjoying a deep connection to nature and one another. We’d love to invite you to join us at one of our monthly meet ups where we host a variety of rides and walks to suit different ages and abilities (including the little ones!). Everyone’s invited, and all the cycles and walks are led by experienced guides to ensure you are well informed whilst keeping safe and having fun! For more information please contact Richard Barter here

Surf Squad

Surfing is one of the most exciting and stunningly beautiful sports in the word, and members of the Saint Augustine’s Surf Squad would agree. We have a number of surfers from very, very good to those who just like to hang out on the beach and enjoy some of the best beaches in the country, with great company.

The great thing about the Surf Squad is it’s not just about the time on the water, but the time on the beach, the anticipation of the trip to the beach and the trip home after a long day, where the talk is usually about the waves, the ride and the wipe-outs. It's a great team - several trips have been undertaken, both locally and offshore, with more planned. You don't have to surf alone, there’s plenty of company available.

Fill out the form below with your details and we will ensure everyone is put in contact. Heading for a day or a weekend away to surf, take some company and enjoy this amazing country we call Aotearoa.
