You may have noticed that Saint Augustine’s has been experiencing something of a growth spurt lately, and so we’re looking for new team members to join in the mahi.
If you have every been at one of our services, you know we have a lot of children here at Saint Augustine’s! With multiple different groups that cater for children from birth to Year 7 on a Sunday, as well as mid-week gatherings, our Children’s Ministry is a vibrant, vital and growing part of our church life.
We are currently looking for an experienced, passionate person to join us in overseeing these Children’s Ministry areas and working with our amazing team of teachers, leaders and parents to ensure that every child is in a fun, safe environment where they can experience God’s love, and grow in their faith and develop positive relationships and with their peers.
What’s on offer?
This is a paid position of around 32 hours a week, across Sunday–Wednesday, based from our beautiful new office space in Newmarket, but with some flexibility to suit your schedule with the ability to work around other study or the school pick-up and work-from-home options.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has a passion for seeing Children grow in their faith and their relationships. As this role is in a leadership position, we are looking for someone with previous children experience, whether that is in the education sector or in previous Children’s Ministry positions (paid or voluntary). This position oversees one of our largest number of volunteers so we are also looking for someone who would be keen to develop our leaders and volunteers, as well as understands the practicalities of weekly rostering.
What’s the team like?
Our team is a tight-knit one that understands we are all working together for the good of Auckland City, through thoughtfully crafted Sunday services, midweek events and formational communities. We have a passion to grow beyond where we are right now with high aspirations for the future, while also keeping in mind the practical elements of what needs to be done this week, this month for our church community.
